"We had windows put in with Window Nation earlier this year and were extremely satisfied. We had no problem with the installation or the crew. The two guys did an excellent job, so I decided to have a door installed on the side of our house. The old one was a little drafty. I thought that because they did a good job on the windows, I would have them do the door, even though the door was going to cost a lot of money. This door is nothing like the windows. I don't think it's of very good quality. That is beside the point. I will live with the door since it's up, but I thought the installation was very rushed and incomplete. The guys were in such a hurry to get to the next job, and they were complaining about how hot it was. It was hot, but they do this every day. Also, there was a sticker on the inside of the door stating that the installer should be sure to put silicone on certain joints. I was told they don't do that. I don't know why the manufacturer put the sticker on the door for the installer with specific instructions. They didn't follow that. I was disgruntled about that. They took up a strip that joins the new bottom seal of the door, and when they finished, they were going to put a piece of quarterround there. However, they said that the floor was too high and it wouldn't fit, and it was just left. The guy said I could go to Lowe's and get a strip. I spent $6,000.00, and I expected turn-key-and-go. I did not expect to make trips to Lowe's. A couple of days later, my wife went to close the door, and the door handle almost fell off because the screws were loose. I understand they get loose, but a little sealant on the threads would stop that. Again, they were in too much of a hurry, and half the screws put in were loose or sticking out. I don't think I'm being a perfectionist here, but I like stuff that's right. By no means was this right. They did not put all the screws in that hold the closer to the door, and it was flopping around and binding. We had to have some intervention there. When the door closed, the siding on it was very loose. They did come out on Monday to put an extension on the bottom seal of it. In order to do that, the guy had to take the frame for the storm door off and put some wooden shims in so it didn't flop as much when the door shut. I think they should have done that when they installed it. This is my first venture with a door that somebody has put in. The other thing that really agitates me is that I left a message for the manager of installers and have not received a call back. I was told to give it time to let the silicon cure, and I can live with that, but there is a problem with the doorbell. The old one was secure in the old doorframe. When these guys took the button off and took out the wires when putting the door up, the door was hinged on the opposite side because of the way the door was made. We wanted it swapped, so the doorbell would have to be put on the left side. Rather than doing an extension for the wires to the left, they ran them through the right side. They had already made the aluminum fascia for the doorframe, so they said it was going to be on the right side. That was one of those things that just was, whether I liked it or not. When they did the final silicon, when I asked them about the decal instructions for the silicon, he said not to touch the silicon for twenty-four hours because it had to cure. Well, they put the doorbell in crooked and not even seated up against the backing. The button itself is seated, so you can see the electrical, and the back of the doorbell is exposed to the elements. If I were to try to sell the house and go through a home inspection, that would not pass. Anytime it rains, it's going to get water in there. I could fix it, but I shouldn't have to. I also don't know how badly they butchered the holes behind it. I know I probably can't get it straight. I paid $6,000.00 for a couple of doors. You expect the hardware and doorbell to be put back as good as the original. It is not. When they came on Monday to do the extension work, Matthew did a good job. He got the shims for the door frame, put the extension in, and got the door closer. He said Brian, who was over the guys who put the doors in, said they don't do doorbells, and they are not responsible. That's part of the door installation, and I would think that for $6,000.00 if they weren't responsible, they could have told me at the time or given me the option. It is two wires for a doorbell and a switch. It wouldn't be up to code if this were new construction, and there's no way it would pass a new construction inspection, much less a home inspection."

"The sales process was great. When it came time to install the windows, I noticed they were moving a little too quickly with putting the new windows in. One of the reason we wanted to replace our windows was due to the amount of bad wood we had and Pete with Window Nation assured us that any damaged wood would be addressed. This included taking it down to the studs and rebuilding the walls if necessary. After my suspicions of them not addressing the bad wood I tried to contact Pete and got no answer. After several failed attempts to get him on the phone I got a text he was in a sales meeting and would contact me after. Then I tried to contact the home office and was not able to get anyone on the phone either. Finally, I received a call from I believe either Brad or Brian? He was the project manager and came out to address my concerns. One he showed up on-site everything was corrected and taken care of to my wife’s and I satisfaction and the windows look great and have already helped in keeping our home cooler. It’s just unfortunate that we had a rough start and I still question how many other people’s this has happened to that didn’t catch them not addressing the bad wood."

I had a prewired security system, they cut one of the wires, and now I will have to rewire the whole house. The salesman was supposed to call me over a week and a half ago and has not. "We were pleased from the beginning with Peter, our sales rep, all the way through to the installers. We like the way the company operates; they don’t contract any of their work out to a third party. All the people you deal with are Window Nation employees. This is especially significant when the old windows are removed and any mold is found, they are not coming to you telling you how much extra it will cost to replace the rotted wood. Any unseen issues they encounter will be resolved at no additional cost. We highly recommend this company for the quality of their product and the knowledgeableness of their employees!"

"We broke our project in half and explained to our rep why, we were having a baby in between and needed to get crucial windows done before delivery, and non-crucial windows done after hospital bills were paid off. In the short period of time between services, our rep changed, and items the first rep promised like price lock guarantee for the second half project were “not noted in our record”. That combined with the pressure to sign project two on the same day, as a loyal returning customer, made us feel very swindled and we lost trust with the company. Now that both services are complete, we’re having issues getting items fixed. Until the follow up service is complete, we can only give three stars at this time."

"The installers stepped all over my flowers and bushes. I asked twice before install would that watch out for my flowers? Both person told me yes. They had no regard to my flowers at all. Tore my iris completely out of the ground. they never looked at the ground to see where the flowers were!!!!"

"From the front end the sales man was honest and we felt comfortable that we canceled any other window company estimates we had scheduled. They were prompt in getting the measurements and the order arrived earlier than we expected. Did a great job. One window was ordered without a screen and they jumped on it to have one ordered. Still waiting to receive notification that it came in and arrange for them to come back out but I am confident that they will"

"It was very professional. The thing I didn't like is that it took a long time from the time we paid because we had to pay upfront. It took at least over two months before the windows were actually installed. The service was fine. It's just that I didn't like the fact that they held onto my money all this time and we had to wait to get the windows installed."
