"Disappointed with the lack of communication between Window Nation, the manufacturers, and the installers. Manufacturers could not get our windows and screens made within their expected timeframe (>2 months!!!). DID NOT INFORM ME OF THIS UNTIL THE MORNING OF MY INSTALLATION. The manufacturers forgot a whole window and 5 of the 6 screens!!!! Additionally, one of the slider windows was missing a piece! Left the installers out to dry by not communicating with them any of this information. Forced me to have to accommodate multiple installation dates with short notice. The resolution to the screens and the missing window piece will take an ADDITIONAL 3 to 4 WEEKS BEFORE THEY ARE READY. Horrible. Their way of "making this right" with us has been disappointing and dissatisfactory to say the least. We turned down cheaper small business window installers to work with a "reputable", "trustworthy", and "reliable" company like Window Nation. BIG MISTAKE, will not do that again."

"The sales guys that came to my house mentioned a few times about how it was Sunday. If you don’t want to work sundays then don’t work for a company that is open on weekends. Also he seemed annoyed when I needed him to repeat himself. I’m spending a lot of money on windows I want to know what I’m buying…The communication with the HOA department wasn’t great, the first email said they would check in weekly but they didn’t. It took 3 times for them to finally tell me what the issue with the permit was."

"problems from the start the count of the windows, he keep telling us the total he had and we kept saying no your wrong, The price. of the windows and gratuities where taken off the bill. complete lia. Never new you used other companies windows. the measuring, the loss we had with are other contractor's for timing of there jobs, then billing, you signed off the job before the broken windows were even done and the goopleap fin com wanted 350.00 more dollars in interest before a paint was to be done when I paid in full because of the interest. They still haven't gotten back to me even after recieving a bank check for the total of the windows. I live in the main st in our town. so many people we knew were interested, they kept asking questions, finally I said won't recommend. Sorry have no understanding why this was such a mess. We had so much hope for the project to be done to show our house off for the Holidays. It all started in April and it will hopefully be restarted in spring."

"One window is broken at the top the sash. One the screen has a 6 inch ripped down the side of it and we’re still waiting for that to be repaired. The work crew did zero cleanup asked if we had a broom and we do not have a broom so my husband and I had to spend two hours cleaning everything there was caulking on the chair. Someone was supposed to come get it off. They never did."

"Everyone that we dealt with made this project so easy. With Randy Bucks help we were comfortable with our choices. Everything was done on time. The installer, Junior and his team, were great. Not only were the windows installed correctly, they made sure all debris was cleaned up, this included vacuuming around the windows. We had a couple of small issues that were immediately addressed by Randy and the service department. Our experience could not have been better and for that reason we would highly recommend Window Nation."

"We have a window (no more than 6weeksafter installed) that we went to open for the FIRST time. Nope! Doesn’t work. Called made an appointment that we thought was to fix it. Nope! Guy came out a week after our call stayed 10 minutes and said yup it’s broken!!!! Days later we scheduled an appointment to FIX the window. Waited over a week for this appointment. Guy came. Only could fix part of the window. He didn’t have parts for the other part of the window!!!!! That was days(maybe a week ago) no call to reschedule yet to finish the repair. Now it has taken over a month we’ve changed our schedules to be home twice and it’s still not fixed!"

"The new windows look great, but the installation process was frustrating and disappointing. We were originally told that four installers and a supervisor would be present, but only two installers showed up. As a result, it seemed they rushed to complete the job, which likely contributed to the noticeable damage throughout the installation. Nearly all of the window casings were damaged, and some were left with visible dirt or other substances. Several windows had a sticky adhesive residue that took a significant amount of time and effort to clean off. There was also damage to the surrounding exterior areas, including the walls and sills. The installers were also supposed to replace several window sills, but I had to remind them twice during the process. They claimed they had not been informed about that part of the job, which led to further delays and added to the confusion. The quality of the installation in those areas now looks rushed and unprofessional. I contacted the company the very next day to raise my concerns, but it took nearly a week to receive a response—and that only came after I sent multiple follow-up emails and made several phone calls. While the windows themselves are visually appealing, the overall experience, communication, and workmanship fell far short of expectations. We chose Window Nation based on the promises made by the salesperson, who assured us the installation would be smooth and professional. Unfortunately, that was not the case."

"Service was terrible!! Note I sent to Doug and Travis my sales rep a week ago. Doug/ Travis- it’s Tim Flaherty in Burlington. I am 1000% unsatisfied with the workmanship that took place. While I was gone on vacation they finished several of the windows in the downstairs kitchen, as well as the two bathrooms. First day of install was sold to me as 1/2 day. Total job took 12 hours on first day and 6 hours four days later and it still all need to be ripped out and redone. Terrible terrible job that these guys did. Along with that one of the windows in the kitchen downstairs has a crack in it., the molding that they ripped off and put back was Broke on the inside and they put some sort of a caulking on and others they just left. They should have replaced it since they broke them when removing. One of the windows on my sun porch they had to make the hole bigger because it was measured incorrectly per the lead guy. All the while they were bad mouthing the person that took the final measurements. Maybe Steve? Nobody told them those kitchen windows were made out of metal so they were breaking sawblades to try to rip out those. And damaged the concrete which they had to cover up. Somehow the windows came and several of the screens didn’t fit in the windows, which is a complete joke and is on back order for 2 to 3 weeks per Doug I think. How did the windows come with the incorrect screens? None of the windows have those little white plugs put back in on the inside trim so there’s two holes on each side of every single window missing. And all but two were not acted into wall. The bathroom window in the downstairs is a disaster- they tried to use extra caulking to make up for their Shawty work. The window doesn’t even open. The two large windows in the downstairs stairs kitchen do not lock unless they are forced. Both need to be removed and reset. The outside molding they put around the two kitchen windows downstairs looks like my 19-year-old daughter put it together Bottom line is you lied to me about using subcontractors? The two guys that were here were here for 12 hours the first day (you said half day tops for complete install) and had to come back and spend hours to finish and the end result is terrible. The one window on my sunroom that’s facing the pool where they were gonna put the new molding and not match What was there? They used deck screws to screw it in instead of nails and they’re not even recessed and look like shit. These guys were a mess and left a mess! I have dozens of photos which I shared with Doug. Super nice guys way over there head and not prepared. At one point a week ago this past Friday when I was here, they put in a window in the bedroom downstairs that was crooked, and when I approached them and told them it was crooked, they told me that was the shape of the window and that the window was level- I then took out my level and proved to them that their window was extremely crooked, and they removed it and fixed it. These guys were terrible ! I want someone from your company to come out here inspect and redo all the windows and the molding that I have issues with! I am not exaggerating. I could’ve done the windows better personally than these guys did. I am not that guy, but I am very, very unhappy, and I want immediate resolution as well as a major major discount for my troubles in dealing with this."

"Everyone I dealt with on this project was very nice and easy to work with from Jeremy Rousell the sale estimator, the measurement tech, the scheduler, and install technicians. But I could not have been more disappointed with the project execution, and that being my last experience with Window Nation, I am very unlikely to recommend to a friend, maybe if they only had one window, but where I was replacing all of my windows (17 total including a bay), I would never recommend. I did not want there to be any surprises half way through the project, having to deal with broken interior trim, cracked J-channel or broken shutters, so I opted to have everything replaced with this project, also knowing it would simplfy the install and demolition process knowing those components did not need to be reused. When I spoke with Jeremy at the initial estimating visit, he expected a job of this size to take three days. My wife and I both work from home, and it was explained to me that scheduling could be coordinated so that an upstair bedroom could be completed first, so that we could use that room to work from for the remainder of the project and keep our senior dog in the room with us. We knew there was no way replacing all the windows in our house could ever not be intrusive to our lives, but we needed to get this project done. So I was very surprised when I received a call to schedule the install when I was told the project was going to be completed in one day, I even remarked at the quantity of windows being replaced and all the extras I was having done at the same time. I was told that "on a project like this I am going to get my best crew" and that it shouldn't be an issue to complete the project in one day. The Wednesday before the project I receive to simultanious texts reminding me of my appoint that Friday for the window replacements, one saying that the crew would arrive at 7am, the other saying 10am, both saying the project would be completed in one day. Not knowing which time was correct, I called the phone number listed in one of the texts for questions, I was reassured that the crew would be on site at 7am and they remarked that it would be completed in one day. I asked them if they were certain and brought up all the work I was having down and again said one day. The day of the installation the first truck arrived with only two technicians, my wife asked them if it was just the two of them and they said that their foreman and another guy was coming later in the day. I walked them around the house to show them the project and they got to work with the demolition. Around noon the foreman showed up and my wife and I left to walk the dog and have lunch and kill time while the project was being completed. Around 5:00 we returned and at that point I was surprised to see all of our windows removed and only three of the 17 starting to be installed. I commented to the foreman that I was told the project would be completed in one day, and he said no, that they would be working late and that someone would be back in the morning to finish the trim. When I asked how late, he said that he expected to work until about 9:00. I was completely astounded by this, after getting reassured so many times that the work would be completed in one day. Since our house was completely unhabitable at that point, we ended up getting a hotel room for the night and had to go out for dinner since our kitchen was unusable. When I told the foreman this, he simply said "Oh we can work later then". I asked the foreman to please let me know before they leave. Around 9:30, I left the hotel to come check on the project since I had not heard anything, and was surprised to see my house lit up with a spotlight and someone working on an extension ladder on a second floor window. Not wanting to go back to the hotel and wake my wife up, I just parked on the side of the road and closed my eyes. I woke up to a text after 11:00 saying that someone would be back around noon tomorrow to finish the trim and pick up the rest of the debris. The following day we came home and waited, noon came and went and around 1:00 I texted the foreman and he said that the tech was coming from Brentwood and should be there in about an hour. Just after 2:00 two carpenters showed up and got to work. Like the day before we went out for lunch and walked the dog to kill time and came back around 6:00. That day they had made considerable work, but they said that would not complete that day and they said that someone was probably going to have to come back Sunday or Monday. My wife and I tried to stay in the upstairs bedroom with our dog, who obviously could not be let loose in the house, we watched TV for about an hour and while discussing whether or not we were going to need to stay at a hotel again, we realized that it was very quiet, and discovered the crew had left, and shortly after I received a text from the foreman that he would be back Monday morning to complete the last three windows and the exterior trim on the bay. I walked around the yard and there was still bits of debris all over the place, broken shudders, sheet metal trimmings, screws, nails ect, and my yard had to stay like that, on a holiday weekend I was completely unable to use my yard or have my dog outside unattended for risk of being injured ( I have pictures if you would like to see them). Monday (Memorial day), the foreman showed up at 7am and got to work, again my wife and I went out to kill time and let them work, a couple hours later I got a call asking if I had any vinyl siding that he needed to patch in an area around the new roof over the bay. I came back to the house, I looked but did not have any, and the foreman explain that since the new window was shorter, there were gaps at the top. I explained to him that I knew that interior drywall work was going to be required and expected to pad the opening, but I expected the new roof over the bay would fill in above, since the whole reason the window needed to be smaller was to make room for a properly framed roof over the bay, and if I was told that would have been an issue I would have never done the bay window. The foreman did his best to fill in the voids in the siding with aluminum but the house looks terrible from the front now. This time we stayed at the house while they finished, and after a couple more hours they did and the foreman approached me and said that they were finishing up and asked that I sign the form saying that they are complete. I asked him if they did the shutters yet and I was told that the guy outside was doing them now. I signed, but clearly there was a miscommunication because when I followed him outside there were no shutters, I asked if they were doing them now or if they had to come back, he explained that the other worker was just caulking all of the screw holes where the old shutters were and that my contract didn't have shutters, or at least they were never ordered. He said that he would speak to his project manager, at that point I left him to finish cleaning up and they finally left Monday afternoon. I walked my yard and while they picked up 99% of all the debris, there was still trash everywhere in the grass, everytime I go out in my yard I find something new, lots of sharp pieces buried in the grass of broken pieces of vinyl from the old windows, broken shutters pieces, screws, nails and snipped pieces of sheet metal. There are also hundreds of small bits of paint chips all over the place, and after being told that my house was assumed to have lead paint due to it's age, and told that they were going to take extra precautions, only to have all the demo debris tossed into the grass without so much as a tarp put down I am extremely disappointed, I honestly haven't ruled out legal action after how this whole project was executed. I did plan one calling Window Nation to speak with someone after my shutters were installed and the project was 100% complete, but I just found out that someone needs to return to measure for the shutters. I was also very surprised when I was contacted for the measurement appointment so that they could give me a quote for shutters, I had to explain to them that I already had shutters in my contract, but I was told they would still need to be measured, I have an appointment in two days to get the shutters measured, but I have no idea how long it will take for them to be ordered, delivered and then installed. It's just someone to verify that I called for service and to tell me that someone else will get in touch with me to schedule a service tech. This is such a waste of time. I get random texts of appointment they schedule on their own without calling me and if the date is not good, I have to call again and the whole rediculous process starts again. "My windows were replaced recently and Window Nation hit a grand slam. I know I was difficult to deal with at the beginning. Please understand - every window replacement done here at the community has had issues, so the pressure was on both of us to get this done right. The HOA vice president stopped by 3 times during the installation to ensure the work was being performed well and he was VERY pleased. Once all was done, I was just ecstatic and relieved. True to my word, the wording below is what I submitted for publication in our next newsletter. "We had 7 windows that were in bad shape and had them all replaced recently. We attended the Home Show in Worcester and after having several vendors come in to present their products, we elected to go with Window Nation. Our experience with them was top notch from start to finish. Jerome, the salesperson, did a great job presenting their products and assured me multiple times that there would be no issues with meeting all of the window specifications required here at QR. True to their word, each window was measured 3 times to ensure a custom fit. The installers arrived right on time and were very careful with everything both inside and outside of each window area. They carefully cut around each frame and never damaged any of the siding. Once the frame was in, they applied all of the necessary insulation to ensure a snug fit, installed composite framing and covered all of the nail holes. They also caulked around the entire frame on the interior and ensure there were no gaps. Since then, we have been amazed at how much warmer and quieter the home is. With the professionalism and quality of workmanship shown throughout the process, I highly recommend Window Nation for window/door replacement."

"The only helpful individuals I dealt were the sales manager and the installer. There were multiple issues that caused a large need for communication. The sales rep I was told to go through stopped communicating with me after the second message (about a month after the consultation). After I called customer service multiple times and told them I wanted the job canceled due to lack of information and answers on all of the issues, only then did the message get escalated to the sales manager, who did call me back and answer the questions I had. Much of the information provided by the sales rep was also untrue. Typical sales tactics were used, which I was aware were not true during the consultation, but the benefits seemed to outweigh those. I was also told Window Nation used their own installers who were company-trained. This was also untrue (my windows were installed by a third party). So far the windows appear fine, but it hasn’t been a month yet."

"I didn't realize you just used sub contractors and not employees. Guys that did our install smelled like cigarette smoke and we had to air out our house after they left. The run around with timing was horrible, 1/18 - measurements are completed - we are told "they are telling me about 4-6 weeks for your windows to be made but it never takes that long". This would be new window between 2/15 and 2/29. Expectation set. 1/19 CSE(customer service email) your windows will be ready on 3/20 2/2 CSE - windows ready on 3/19 3/1 CSE - windows ready on 3/12 3/11 CSE - windows ready on 3/21 3/15 CSE - windows ready on 3/29 Installation appointment set for 4/1, starting between 7-9am, installers show up at 9:20 and smell like cigarette smoke. They did a good job but we had to air out the house for over an hour to get that smell out of our house. No Window Nation van so we didn't even know it was the installers, thought is was Amazon."

"I'll start with the assumption that Window Nation wants to provide 5 star service and explain why I landed at 3 stars. Also, be aware that the questions in the survey are very carefully crafted to generated 5 star reviews. Instead of asking you about the sales process, they ask you about the sales person. I don't believe most people WANT to do a bad job, but they also have no control over the companies sales process or tactics. A high level overview of the process was: 1. Meet with a sales person 2. Agree to the proposal / sign agreement 3. Measure appointment 4. Schedule install when windows are ready 5. Installation 6. Window quality 7. Post installation / customer service There are some other fluff calls in between that have limited impact overall. 1. Meet with the sales person. While I would give the sales person 5 stars, I give the sales process they (are probably forced to) follow one star. Window Nation employs the same shady/time wasting sales process similar companies and many car dealerships follow. A nice person comes to your house, looks around and gets into their gimicky sales pitch. "Look at our materials", "check out this PowerPoint", "Review these national numbers we totally didnt select to show how awesome we are", "point this thermometer at our sample window". Overall Window Nation wasted about 2 hours of our time and the sales persons time. I didn't need all that fluff. We also got the tried and true lie of "we only use full time Window Nation employees" - they dont, was clearly an independent contractor that showed up. Did the sales person believe that the install team worked there full time? Probably, but ours did not. My second complaint about the sales process is they also try to force you into buying the same day. If you're doing a major project of any kind and you take the first quote give to you, you're wasting your money. The sales person, while they were nice, was very put off we weren't willing to sign an agreement on the spot. If that is how Window Nation pays their sales people, shame on Window Nation. Hearing"But the price is only good for today!" should stop and make you go hmmm. (Hint the price was good for weeks). That tells me the sales people are incentivized to close the deal the same day. Provide me value, don't try to squeeze a sale out of me and you're more likely to get a customer, repeat customers, and customers who are more likely to refer you instead of a one and done transaction. 2. Agree / sign the proposal was 3 stars. The agreement they wanted me to sign was full of errors. Thankfully I read it and didn't just sign it, as many people do. I may not have got the windows I actually agreed to buy had I not paid attention. Additionally, there is a clause in the contract I missed that they are not responsible for mold after the install. Well that just sucks, if there is a problem with the install that causes water/moisture to get in, they should absolutely be responsible for correcting/remediating. Be on the look out for that if you decide to go with Window Nation and try to negotiate it out. 3. Measure appointment was 5 stars. Measure tech came out, measured, answered questions, no BS - in and out. 4. Schedule install was 3.5 stars. When the windows became available at the local warehouse to install I got a call to schedule. I was traveling for parts of the month so did not want to schedule the install before I was leaving, but was told I had to agree to the install within 30 days of the warehouse receiving them. This was never conveyed to me verbally, and upon review of the contract I did not see this mentioned. I don't appreciate being forced into things. Otherwise was generally quick but would have preferred to wait. 5. Installation was 3-4 stars. To no fault of the crew that did the install, they were clearly an independent contractor. White truck, nothing visible to show they were window nation contractors, never mind full time staff. Again, this is nothing against the crew, but this is not what was told to me in the sales process. The question in this survey is about the people in the install crew - all seemed nice, I can't really identify any installation problems and we've had a bunch of rain so seems to have been done properly but its not like I can go and remove my siding to make sure. 6. Window quality - 4 stars to start (only time will tell if that holds up) So far I will say I am noticing a difference in maintaining heat in the house. The morning after the install the first floor was still around 66deg F AND I forgot to turn the heat back on, so the heat did stay in the house. Outside temps were in the 30s. My house previously could get as low as 55deg F if I forgot to turn the heat on. How long will the quality last is still TBD. I am also worried about the warranty. Window Nation says they registered it for us, the certificate for the warranty says I have to register it, but our model is not listed. Hopefully they honor it. 7. Post installation / customer service - 2 stars This is a hard one, because after the installation I've got texts or emails from 4 or 5 different people saying there are here to help and to "please call me right now at (###) ###-#### or just REPLY to this email" - so far only 2 of the 5 people have responded. One generally tells me to call customer service (which has LONG wait times) and one helped with thing. I did have an issue I caused, I misread the amount due upon completion and overpaid by $900. I texted one of the people back, they said call customer service, which I did but after being told by their automated system I'd be on hold for 2 minutes, I ended up being on hold for almost 20. When I did talk to a person, they said the accounting department would get back to me. They didn't. I texted another person, they brought it someone local and the problem got resolved (5 stars for that interaction,1 for the rest). Calling customer service is not something I often have time to do over the course of my work day."

"The night of installation of 2 patio doors we found that they did not lock. There was no means to contact anyone so the house remained unlocked. I tried the so-called "emergency service number", where I got a recording saying they were closed. So obviously not a real "emergency" number. And I left an email on the website also describing the security issue. The next day (a Friday) when I called again, we were told that someone would call us in 24 to 48 hours to then schedule someone to come out and fix it. So the house remained unlocked over the weekend. And yes, I did tell them it was a security issue. When I did hear from someone Monday morning, I was given a service date 8 days later, which would have been almost 2 wks from installation. Meaning that my house would have to be unlocked for 12 days! When I expressed my concern, the rep said there was nothing she could do. Finally I asked to speak to a manager, and she said that she'd have him call when he was "available." Thankfully she called back a short time later and said that since it was a security issue, her manager said they could have someone out the next day. Everything up to the point of needing service, was very good, and I was very happy with the whole process. But this lack of concern for service and for my safety left me with very negative feelings. And to top it off, the latches for both screen doors are missing, and have to be ordered, and then we have to go through the scheduling process again to have them installed. Not happy."

"Window Nation has advertisements that state different things. When I asked questions about billing and interest rates, I got the run around. They told me I could not get the 0% interest rate promo, and they handled things all wrong. Then they would not tell me what my interest rate was, so when I finally found out that it was 9.9% I was very upset. Now, I see them advertising 0% interest for 2 years plus 2 free windows and that is very frustrating."

"I was satisfied with the cost and installation of my 10 windows, however more than half of my windows came defective (residues/leaks between panes, misaligned grids). Service interactions are short and handled by very inexperienced representatives who are just there to order parts and quickly get you off of the phone, this has led to multiple rounds of replacement window orders being required."
