I am hoping to hear something, but it is almost 4 pm and have doubts. The workers were great for the roofing, removing solar panels and we finally got the solar panels reinstalled on Wednesday, Aug. 26th, 2026. Solar is working. I feel bettet about the job, but individuals who are in charge need to pay attention to the work. I never saw a project manager until Fred visited us asking why I gave a low review. Money is tight for everyone, but to state step by step and me having to contact different individuals seems I only got attention when I submitted a poor review. The individuals who did the work are excellent and we just got our living room corner spackled and the two young men knew exactly how to handle the plaster and made it smooth so me and my mom can paint our ceiling. Hotest days so far . 100 degree weather. Was very impressed with how they handled financing and how quick the service was. We met on a Thursday and the next Tuesday they was on the job. WORST company ever!!!   They subcontracted to very incompetent crews.  First crew damaged all the window trim and several window screens the siding was not attached to the house securely. Left property messy, cigarette buts everywhere and their trash..the quality of work was very poor. Had to take down and redo. Second crew was even worse, did not think possible.  Fired them after 8 months trying to get them to finish the job correctly.  We have had no gutters on our house for 8 months. We gave them approximately 26% down payment, which in ohio is illegal, only allowed 10% or less, we were not aware, until we obtained the services of a lawyer to get our down payment back. Sales person was incompetent and did not know the siding business at all. (Hindsight).  Per contract supposed to wrap whole house with vapor barrier, discovered that did not happen.   I could go on and on, they did nothing right. Hired new company to do it correctly. Ended up costing more, because they brought to our attention that they would have to remove the 80 year old stucco, because they could not get the new firing strips to hold.  Whether Home Genius knew this or not, they did not present that potential problem to us!   If we would have them finish the job, we would have many issues with Home Genius install, as mentioned previously, customer service sucks. Not one sincere apology from any one at home Genius.  I am not sure how they have an A+ on the BBB.
