"FPL Home Services came for a tune-up on my perfectly working ac. When they left, my unit no longer worked. Three more visits from FPL couldn't fix it although they added a cracked drain pan. They said that I needed a new motor, or a new unit. I called another company and they fixed what FPL messed up. VERY disappointed that FPL let me absorb the brunt of an almost $700.bill for their ineptness."

I was stood up for confirmed appointments while I tried to coordinate renovations to allow me to move in. Then I was told I was only allowed 1 portable air conditioner loaner so I could get repairs done. Those that promised to call me back never called me back. Worst experience ever. I’m also going to mention I’m a 72 year old widow."

"I used Fpl a few years ago for an emergency and they were great. I then bought my downstairs unit from them. They offered me the 10 yr labour and parts warranty. With the labour warranty they told me it would not cost anything as long as I had my maintenance done. Every time I had an issue after that they changed the terms.needed to call a few times and while technicians were at my house trying to sell stuff The service managerhad then told in the beginning to the person answering that as long as I have had a 6 monthly service I would not pay the diagnostic. They then after that with next issue said it changed and every time after that and said I had to pay the diagnostic. They said it changed in their rules and me having a warranty does not make a difference. Every time I called different people answer and if I asked to speak to the service manager he never called me back. It was always the customer supervisor if they called back . The last time I had an emergency with water leaking and called for a service in the afternoon. They said sorry they can only help me the next day at 5 pm. I told them there was water in the downstairs and they said could not come till 5 pm next day. I booked it. Because warranty with you I could not get anyone else earlier. After that someone called me and said a technician could come in the morning 8-10. The next morning my tenants said no one was coming. I called Fpl and they said it was still that afternoon. I was very upset and told them there was lots of water. They said they cannot do anything. After complaining they found that the technician was going to coming in morning but that was an error on their behalf and could not come till that afternoon. I told them it was urgent snd the restorative company on their way. They did not change to help me in this emergency and let it for 5 pm. When the technician came that afternoon they saw restorative company was there and there was a lot of damage. He called me that he need to clean the line and he would wanted me for to pay that and for the diagnostic. He was trying to sell me additional stuff for almost 1000. I asked if he could just please service it seeing that line was part of it and he said he could after first complaint has no time and would take 2 hours but he would charge me for the diagnostic plus the clean of cond line plus service. I said that is not fair and he said they cannot treat me for me. I agreed to pay 3 diagnostic, service and line. It took him half hour to service unit and when he called for my card I asked why he said 2 hours and he said there were 2 of them so took half hour. I called office later and a new customer supervisor called me back and was very nice. She said that he should not have charge for the extra piece but only for service and diagnostic. She refunded the one. The delay in them getting to my house for over a day and half cost me $12,000 in damages. I am very upset . They knew it was an emergency and they changed the technician that called to say he could come 8-10 am to original 5 pm. This is not what I expected from Fpl. I still have a labour and part warranty with you and hope you can do something to fix the terrible service. Thank you"

"February this year I signed up for yearly contract. They came..ordered filters and after NUMEROUS calls didn't get the filters till mid July. Also at this time signed up for electrical contract. Courteous and professional however dimmer switch was installed wrong and another person came from your crew and finally fixed it saying it was done wrong that is why it didn't work. I still have a ceiling light that used to work not operating because the man said he didn't know what was wrong with. it I do like that when I call they will usually be helpful"
