"Honestly, I am torn between a 3-star and a 4-star. The work was great, overall, but that was primarily on the contractors. However, without going through the company, I would never get to experience the work of the contractors, so I had to give credit to the company for having great contractors. The only issue regarding recommendation is that, I have gone through two project managers because one left the company, and the other was on his way to retirement after he took over my project. Neither one of them had any sort of follow up. When the first one left, apparently he did not have a proper "hand-over" of our project to someone else; didn't notify me he'd be leaving (basically I reached out to him several times and he never responded, so I assumed he was too busy to respond, which was still not okay.) So when the other person picked up our project, there was a good amount of misunderstanding. It was also closed to the second person's retirement, so even though he came to check on the progress maybe once a week, it was ultimately me working directly with the contractors because the second person was pretty much "out"... I would be more satisfied if the company, as a whole, would follow up with me to see how everything went after the completion of the project. The only "follow up" was this email inviting me to do the survey. I may or may not recommend Steadfast, depending on if the particular contractors I had still work for them."

"VERY disappointed in the poor quality of the 6x6 vertical columns (long 1/8th inch fissures along the entire length), the pine flooring (gouges and splintered edges, holes where a knot fell out), and the windows, which will not stay up. We had asked for EZ Breeze windows as were provided at our neighbor’s request in their porch built by Steadfast, but we were told “We don’t use them”."

"This is a very difficult thing to rate. The quality of the porch is just what I hoped for. The management practice of demanding payment in full before the work was done, and then not finishing a relatively simple item in the contract, is completely unprofessional. If not for that I would have given them 4 to 5 stars on most categories."

"There were several problems during the porch construction that I don't think should have occurred. There were also some changes made on the fly to accommodate our requests. My guess is Steadfast's overall performance was in line with other providers, so I will provide a recommendation with caveats if that seems appropriate."

"Steadfast provided inferior services when constructing a front portico. They placed payment over customer satisfaction. There were long delays and incorrect construction. Steadfast is not proactive in getting ahead of issues and requires the inexperienced homeowner to be more involved than necessary. Many emails and months go by without resolution so everyday I pull into the driveway I see the mistake Steadfast left on my front porch."

"I am very satisfied with the work done on my deck, three sliding glass doors, and my concrete patio with flagstones. Nick Brown was an outstanding consultant - he told me all the things I didn’t know to ask. The was crew was professional and did the work with the minimum of disruption. I appreciated the guidance Nick gave me all through the permitting and HOA approval process. Overall, very satisfied!"

"Steadfast was professional and responsive in all aspects of our project from the design and planning of our deck to the final completion. The construction crew was on-time, hard working, courteous, and polite. They met every deadline, their workmanship is excellent. Our screened porch/deck combo is fantastic. We have spent so much time out on our porch this summer, it is a fantastic addition to our home. Steadfast did an amazing job. I would highly recommend them!"
